   Rejection
 

    Rejection is a despairing word
        it gnaws upon the soul
        too slowly sever all the strands
        which bind us tight to hope

Narrow View

 

It is such a narrow view
    the tree which grows
    the tree which blooms
    the tree which time
    unfurls it's essence

 

Till left is only a forgotten image

Frost Fairies

 

Chasing specks of sunlight, glistening

on the hard crust surface

of winters cloak

with heavy foot, fumbling

to be free of the quickening

possessing stuff

 

Regardless of voracity, they wink

out as shadow passes, flashing

fleeing faster, as I

with ragged breath, forming

clouds in frozen air, run

and frost fairies allude

              Our Sacred Earth

 

               She breathes for us

                     our sacred earth

               She bares our travesties

                     with grace

               And though thoughtlessly

                     we desecrate

               She holds us forgivingly

                     in a mother's embrace

Eternity

 

My dark weeping soul

a desert it is

to see the one

of my fate

a likeness of heart

to embrace

oh gentle one

do light my way

and from my life

the darkness stave

                  Final Hope

                  Sky holds an orange red dawning
                          casting an eerie after image
                  Air smells of foul fermenting
                          warning of something left amiss

                  Humanity must stand as one
                           striving together to save the earth
                  Humility came with heavy stun
                           seeing corrupted places of birth

                  Yet final hope must be shared
                           perpetuating thoughts of responsible care
                  Comprehending that preservation of future lies
                          on the honorability of all mankind

Preconceived Existence

 

Beyond this preconceived existence

of worldly escapades

of darkened fascinations

 

Beyond this empty aching heart awaits

freedom from this stagnant suffocation

this desolate preconceived existence

 

Beyond this physical doorway beckons

a universe of myriad possibilities

a reality of unlimited spiritual bliss

            Images of Fire

 

                Dancing with a blazing frenzy
                enthralling all within it's zephyr
                gradations of flaming colors waver

 

                Within the effulgent of color's existence
                are reflections of emotional ties
                where images of spirits thrive

 
                    with yellow, the gentleness of friendship
                    with orange, the yearning mother too child
                    with red, the swirling madness of lovers
                    with blue, the consummate promise of demise

He Is
 

He is the brilliance of the rising sun
       as it touches the edge of night

Like an elfin lad from days of old
        he haunts my moonlit grove

 

With graceful dance his body flows
        slender in it's elegance
        supine in it's perfection

 

To capture this of mortal man, no other could obtain
         the mysticism of his soul
         the supremacy of mind
         the gallantry of his heart
         almost impossible too find

For all of these he truly holds, with such astounding beauty of spirit
         that it consumes the darkness
         of my despairing thoughts
         purging with love, compassion

         and forgiveness

                    Reason

 

                    Recently it occurred to me that something was amiss

                       as I wandered down a narrow way

                       observing nature's bliss

 

                    I saw there, maimed and tattered things

                       gross misshapen nightmare trees

                       which to their state no reason clings

 

                    I failed then, to comprehend, the reason of destruction

                       for the giant sentinels were mutilated

                       to make way for man's construction

Stumbling

 

While stumbling through this wretched life

mistakes abound aplenty

to trip

to snare

to shame

to haunt

the untrained sensibilities

If only one could learn to walk

instead of always falling

Admirable

 

You Friend, are uniquely cherished

and what wonders you create, amaze

with thought of line and part, reflecting

with extraordinary beauty

with jewel like perfection, the artist

who you really are

admirable in my sight

 

Of inner realization, of loneliness

I feel your yearning for enlightenment

for companionship, for a greater

sense of being, and I want to help

as you hold back, and hide

who you really are

admirable in my sight

 

I share with you, my inner thoughts of

who, I really am, hoping that as I come

forward, you will not fall back, meet

with me, on even ground, for we both

endeavor to know, who we really are

and may you view me, as I view you

A struggle of dark and light

     exists inside

Throughout all eternity

     life after life

The test is time and the prize
