"Careers In Responsible Technologies"

MRISAR staff/family members John Siegel, Victoria Croasdell-Siegel, Michael Cook, Autumn Siegel and Aurora Siegel set up a free "Hands On Science & Technology Center" for the day in the gymnasium of Washington Elementary school in Owosso, Michigan, to honor "Techies Day". Over 2,000 students attended.

The students were able to experiment with science exhibits like the Pentiductor (top left & bottom left), a mobile probe robot (2nd image on left), a robotic arm (3rd image on left), the Human Conductor (bottom middle), the Kaleidoscopic Viewer, as well as solar panels (bottom right). They also heard a presentation on the importance of careers in responsible technology.

The presentation was to help bring awareness to the importance of using technologies to provide environmental and humanitarian solutions. Among the subjects covered are alternative energy, low environmental impact technologies, adaptive technologies (to improve the quality of life for disabled individuals) and how important science, math and even art are to being able to take an idea and turn it into a working prototype.

When the Siegel's present, they represent not only MRISAR, but also Education For Prosperity, a non-profit organization the Siegels co-founded in 1995. The demonstrations have been supplied free of charge as an effort to share with and inspire others to learn and contribute to the welfare of humanity and the environment.
