The Nervous Exhibit is also available as a Regular Unit. As a Corner Unit the Brain is also incorporated to provide the four extra graphic panels.

The graphic panels on this page were scanned in at low resolution for faster on-line loading time. However many of the fine details and color gradations were lost in this transference.

The panels are not depicted with their back lit illumination and animation.

10} Nervous System = contains 4 back lit graphic panels, and 1 3D model. One graphic panel is animated:

(#1) panel depicts graphics and text of the entire nervous system.

(#2) panel depicts graphics and text of a cross section of the spine as it relates to the nervous system and the pathway to the brain.

(#3) panel depicts animated graphics and text of the sensory cells in the epidermis that respond to stimulus and send this information along the nervous system to the brain.

(#4) panel depicts graphics and text of the sensory neurons and reflex actions.

The model is a cross section of the spinal pathway.

Also included will be a list of True or False Questions. Next to this list will be a set of push buttons allowing the visitor to select the appropriate answer. The DAST technology portion of the exhibit will allow the user to hear positive feedback or be prompted to try again.

Please note: Corner Units consist of two related categories which are represented by 9 graphic panels and their respective models.
