Deven, the Robot
Deven Version 1.2 Deven’s exterior opens for educational viewing of it’s interior. Deven is approximately 4 Ft. tall. It is powered by a gel cell battery at 12 V DC. Deven is capable of a number of entertaining demonstrations such as: Following the instructor around a room, Following a beam of light. Avoiding obstacles, Picking up objects and following a path of tape around a room. The original Deven prototype has entertained Michigan area students for 15 years. The updated version we are offering is also durable, but features many technological improvements. Deven’s speech is created using Dast technology allowing the exhibit to interact with the user with speech which is impressed on a ISD/Winbond DAST Chip and amplified through a Cebek amplification module. Deven can also be used as am entertainment robot while being operated remotely using a remote transmitter.
